PFA was established in 2003 and provides our global client base a consistent set of multidisciplinary services based on deep industry knowledge. Our professionals have decades of experience and have been involved in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, restructurings, turnarounds, asset management, banking, corporate finance, structured finance and consumer finance.

Executive Management Team

Armen Dekmejian, Founder and Managing Director

Armen has been actively involved in numerous financing transactions and advisory engagements focusing on early-stage and small cap companies for thirty years. He has taken active roles as officer and director in companies that he has been affiliated with. Prior to PFA, he was Senior Vice President at FamCo, an investment management company specializing in private/public equity, high yield bonds and distressed investments. Prior to FamCo, Armen was Vice President at Jefferies & Company, where he was involved in public/private financings; and an Associate at Apollo Advisors, LLP, where he managed $1.2 billion of public/private high yield bonds and distressed bond investments. He has a passion to tailor innovative solutions in creative and technological fields. Armen holds a M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from USC’s Marshall School of Business and a B.A. in Political Science from Binghamton University’s Harpur College.

Kevin Lam, Founder and Managing Director

Kevin has been actively involved in various areas of corporate financing, capital raising and private equity for over thirty years. Kevin’s wide-ranging expertise in financings consists of secured, mezzanine and private equity financings for both small and middle-market companies. Prior to PFA, Kevin has taken active roles, both as officer and director, in various companies that he has been affiliated with, both in North America and in the Asia Pacific Regions. Previously, he was Senior Vice President at JAFCO, a where he was responsible for supervising over 50 private equity funded companies ($250 million of invested capital). Prior to that, Kevin was Vice President at Citicorp N.A., where he was involved in over 40 transactions, totaling approx. $10 billion of syndicated senior and mezzanine debt financings for mergers and acquisitions, leverage buyouts and restructuring transactions. Kevin holds a M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from USC’s Marshall School of Business and a B.S. in Biochemistry from UCLA.

Robert Tam, Managing Director

Robert has been actively involved in various areas of credit and consumer finance, domestic and international asset-backed securitizations, structured financings, financial guarantees insurance and consulting for over twenty-five years years. Robert currently serves as CEO of Twyne, Inc., a social transit company for working professionals. He also serves as a Managing Director of Arque Advisors, LLC, an SEC registered investment advisory firm and was previously a Managing Member of Equicare Capital, LLC, (a joint venture with Cargill). Robert was previously the President of Ciputra Capital Advisors (Ciputra Group is the leading real estate company in Indonesia). Prior to that, he was Vice President at Financial Security Assurance and a Management Consultant at Kenneth Leventhal & Co. Robert began his career as an engineer at Hughes Aircraft designing weapon systems. Robert holds a M.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate from USC’s Marshall School of Business and a B.S. in Applied Mechanics and Engineering Sciences. from UC San Diego in
